So in the last guide, I introduced 5 tips for taking photos in-game Fate of The Empress. In this part 2, we will check out another 5 tips.
If you haven't read part 1, see here.
6. Power of symmetry
We already know about the "Rule of thirds", but symmetry can be incredibly pleasing to the eye if you know where to apply it. It's one of the simplest ways to compose a photo.
Look for symmetry in the surround, where you can create an image that can be divided into 2 equal parts that are mirror images of each other. In FOTE you will find symmetry in many scenes like staircases, palaces, square, etc.
7. Find different perspectives
Taking photos from a unique, unexpected angle can make them look better. It also makes the image stand out, since most photos are taken straight, zoom in or from a bird's eye view.
You can try taking a photo directly upward or at a slight downward angle too. Actually that's my favourite angle.
8. Be creative with posing
This is what just makes taking photos in game is so different than taking photos in real life. If in real life you can make any pose you want, it's not that easy in game when your options are very limited.
However, because you can actually use your friends' bodies while being in camera mode and apply any emotes on them, even pause at every moment you want, you can combine and create some interesting and creative poses.
For example, below is a combination of "Love Letter" emote and "Goodbye" emote.

9. Find a bug/glitch
This is something that is unique about taking photos in game. Sometime the glitch will allow you to make your photos more realistic, but sometimes, it will make your photos look more fantastic or what you can never do in real life.
This glitch will allow you to sail you boat on the, erm, lotus pond.
This is not really a bug or glitch but you switch to "close up" mode and turn camera around at night time, you may find a big full moon in the background and that makes your photos look more fantasy. This is something that you wouldn't be able to take in real life.
10. Dutch tilt
From a few last update, FOTE just added the "tilt" feature into camera and I really love it.
“A Dutch angle (known as a Dutch tilt, canted angle, or oblique angle) is a type of camera shot that has a noticeable tilt on the camera’s ‘x-axis.’ It is the type of framing that involves setting your camera off axis. On purpose.
In films, it is used to create a sense of unease or disorientation for the viewer. However, if you use it well, it can also create a sense of freedom and fun.
So do you have any other tips for taking a nice photo in game? Let's share it in the comment.
