#Fate of The Empress Quibbler: Not Diao-san, not Diao-kun, it's Diaochan

Rising in Fate of The Empress as fast as a Kpop idol, Diaochan suddenly became everyone's favorite healer when Peak Rival was first released, the event akin to Netflix's Live-action Anime Adaptation. As in, we don't hope for Season 2. Contrary to her excellent healing ability in game, did you know that she was a heartbreaker in history? Broke a young boy, broke a daddy, broke a home, broke a relationship, broke a family, broke a whole regime.

Even though Diaochan is just a fictional character, with visuals 100% qualified enough to dance, in a non-exotic manner, in the front line at a BLACKPINK concert, she was one of the Four Beauties of ancient China. She is well known in the 14th-century historical novel "The Romances of Three Kingdoms".

In the novel, Diaochan assists official Wang Yun in a plot to have a secret affair with Lyu Bu, as well as persuade him to kill his foster father Dong Zhuo. Wang Yun presents her to Dong Zhuo as a concubine, but also betrothes her to Lyu Bu at the same time. I must say, that’s a pretty shady business you sold the girl there.

Diaochan then uses her beauty to turn Dong Zhuo and Lyu Bu against each other by creating jealousy between them. The end of the father and son’s relationship, as well as the whole regime of terror, leads to the formation of the Three Kingdoms and the subsequent 60 years of war.

Moral of story: Never underestimate daddy issues.

(Diaochan was played by Coulee Nazha in Netflix's movie "Dynasty Warriors", which is terrible so I don't recommend it)

So after reading, today you learnt, Diaochan, is not a kawaii Japanese young girl named Diao.
