Have you ever come across any photos of other Fate of The Empress players' albums in-game that look like they are taken by a DSLR Canon camera and wondered how can they take these photos?

Here are some tips for you.

Here is the link to part 2.

1. Balance your shot with the "rule of thirds"

The image should be broken down into thirds, both horizontally and vertically, so you have nine parts in total. If you place points of interest in these intersections or along the lines, your photo will be more balanced.

2. Use natural light

Well, you may be wondering, "how the hell do we find a source of natural light in a game???". Yes, there are. In video games, lighting plays a critical role in game development progress. Lights in games are typically created by the many different built-in light tools found in the game engine. You just have to find where the light comes from.

If you change the time in camera mode to "Dawn", you will find the source of the environment light easily. For example this photo below.

Sometimes you can find light from objects too. Below is the photo where I used the light from the reward chest at a wedding banquet.

3. Embrace negative space

"Negative space" is the areas around and between the subjects of the photo. It can be the open sky, an empty field, the surface of the water, etc. When you include negative space in your photos, it will make the subject stand out more.

4. Play with reflection

I'm actually impressed at how details this game's graphic is that we can find reflection in a lot of places. Our eyes are drawn to reflection so just look for opportunities to apply them in your photos.

5. Leading lines

Leading lines are the lines that draw viewers' eyes toward a certain point in the photo. They can be buildings, roads, bridges, or staircases.

Leading lines are great for creating a sense of depth in an image.
