#Fate of The Empress Guide: For Guild Leader - How to handle the Counselor War neatly (Part 1)

In Three Kingdoms, Liu Bei had to visit Zhuge Liang 3 times to recruit him as his counselor. In "Fate of The Empress", we fight each other to recruit the 3 main counselors: Xie Zhihan, Lin Hua, and Princess Danhui as we are living in an era where the wave of feminism is rising.

Counselor War is always the nightmare of every new server. With people lobbying, starting drama, and fighting on server chat everyday; people getting angry and quitting, the server soon gets deserted. So, as a guild leader, how will you handle that war neatly? Here are some tips for you.

Method 1: Recruit other counselors

Yes, fastest and simplest. We have 8 counselors in total, why fight with each other and make drama just because of that? Go get a counselor that nobody wants and you will be the everyone's superhero for your sacrifice. Ok that's sarcasm, please don't do that. I will explain why.

(Compare stats buff between 3 main counselors and others)

The buff that Xie Zhihan, Lin Hua and Princess Danhui give is a percentage of your own stats. For example, if your guild is No.1 in Appeal Ranking with Xie Zhihan, she will give you 10% buff for team ATK. If your guild is No.2, she will give 5% buff and 3% for No.3. However, if your guild is No.1 in Appeal Ranking with, let's say, Xiao Yuansheng-the-handsome-dude, he will give your team +1,000 ATK buff, and it's a fixed number. That means no matter if your stat is 100 or 1,000,000, he will just give the same buff.

In other words, you would rather be No.3 on the ranking list of Zhihan, Lin Hua, and Princess, than be No.1 of any other counselor.

Throw away this method, please. But if you can't resist Xiao Yuansheng or Yisuo's handsomeness, well, go ahead.

Method 2: Negotiating, Communicating, Handling in peace

Well, this is the best scenario and I'm sure everyone will want it. But how? I really love the word "how", especially when people just tell you "Do it" but never tell the methods. Of course, this is also the hardest.

To successfully handle the war using this method, here is the list of what the leader has to do.

a. Negotiate with other guild leaders

Let them know very clearly that you don't want a war, and if there is any lobby from your guild, it's because there are some members who are unaware or don't know how the counselor system works, and it has never been the guild's intention to lobby them.

Ask them not to lobby you and just let you know the time when the lobby happened (they can check it in their guild log) and you will compare the timeframe with your guild log also so figure which member did it and kindly remind them.

Of course, the other guild leaders will have to agree to do the same.

b. Communicate with your own guild members

Note this, no one will actually read the manifesto. If you want to be a good leader, don't be a lazy leader. Go send a private message to each person by each person, make sure all 50-80 people in your guild reply to you that they are aware of not lobbying other guilds. Sounds tiring? But that's what I did before and you can do it too.

You can tell them to change target to NPC guild, but that little button is really hard to see. So you can just make your message as simple as "Please lobby the male counselors only", which is convenient as all 3 main counselors are female. Here is the only time you can be sexist.

c. Calming your guild members down

At some point, when your own guild members see some lobby messages flooding the guild chat, they will become angry and start saying "Eh why this guild keeps lobbying us? Shall we fight back?"

Remember what you told the other guild leader in section a? Apply the same to them. It may be some of their members are unaware or don't know how to play too, and it is not their intention. So you have to keep your head cool and calm your guild down, explain to them, then go through the process of talking with other leaders about what happened.

Remember, once you "return the favor", the other guilds will also be angry and lobby you back anddddd here we are, that's how the war starts.

d. Don't be greedy

Yes, don't be greedy. Of course everyone wants to have all 3 counselors for the best buff. But what is the best buff for when in the end everyone will just quit due to drama? And how would you convince other guilds not to lobby you and fight with you and let you have everything in peace? Don't be silly mate. You can't ask other people to cut their arms if you don't want to cut yours too.

Discuss and share the counselors. For example, if one guild has Xie Zhihan, let another one have Lin Hua. Or the guilds can agree to take turns and share the counselors. This month one guild can have all 3 and the next month will be another guild's turn.

e. Working on merging guilds

But if you don't have all 3 counselors, it will be a huge disadvantage when it comes to cross-server events. Correct.

In the end, in every server, when people start quitting, there will be only one guild that can survive and everyone will have to gather in one place to fight in cross-server events. Then, if it's only a matter of time, the sooner the better. Keeping peace with other guilds and being friends with everyone will help your merging happen in harmony.

Remember when players fight and spend more, no one really wins. The only winner is the game company.

How to convince other guilds to merge to yours is another "art" that I will write in a separate guide.

Method 3: Let's war

When you already tried every method to resolve it in peace, but the lobby still comes every day, the other guilds don't corporate, the level of anger of your guild members is alarming, then don't think anymore, it's time to fight. In the end, no one wants a leader who is lacking in fighting spirit.

This method will be extremely costly, but here is what you need to do:
